ROAD: CHERRY PIE ROAD RACE, Feb 19 - Albany, OR
2012 marks the sixth year in a row that tandems have been invited to Cherry Pie. This beautiful 25 mile course has some rollers and few short, but steep climbs that try to break up the tandem race. The tandems do one lap - and while 25 miles may not sound like a lot, it's early enough in the year that after crossing the uphill finish we've never wished for more. 2011 Flyer. 2011 Results.
TT: JACK FROST TANDEM TT, Feb 26 - Vancouver, WA
This early season TT is 12.4 miles, out and back, on nearly flat countryside. The start is at Vancouver Lake Park (just north of Vancouver, WA) and they have offered a tandem class each year. 2011 Flyer. 2011 Results.

MTB: SEA OTTER CLASSIC TANDEM XC, Apr 22 - Monterey, CA
Sea Otter has the biggest XC Tandem Mountain Bike Race on the west coast. Held every year during the 4 days of Sea Otter (April 19-22, 2012), the XC Tandem race is Sunday morning this year. The course is one lap (about 22 miles) that starts on Laguna Seca Raceway! This is a fast and fun course with some long, steep climbs and plenty of California singletrack. TT: BEAUTIFUL ESTACADA TIME TRIAL, Apr 22 - Estacada, OR
A 20-mile time trial with a tandem category. This is an out and back on Highway 224 along the Clackamas River. The pavement is in good to excellent condition and is a chance to test your legs against some other fast tandems. The course rises less than 500 feet. 2011 Flyer.

TT: TWILIGHT TIME TRIAL SERIES, May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 - Eugene, OR
Put on by our own, tandem lovin' Sal Collura, the Twilight Time Trial starts and ends near the Coburg Fire Department and features a tandem category every Tuesday night in May. This is the same TT course used by the Co-Motion Tandem Stage Race in 2009-10. OBRA Schedule/Links.

ROAD: NW CROSSING CRITERIUM, (Friday) Jun 29 - Bend, OR
Part of the friday night NW Crossing Hullabaloo Street Festival, this criterium features a strong tandem class and races through a neighborhood, park, and downtown area lined with spectators. 2011 Flyer.

ROAD: HDO OMNIUM & TANDEM STAGE RACE SPONSORED BY CO-MOTION CYCLES, Jul 7-8 - Bend, OR
The replacement for the Co-Motion Tandem Stage Race is in Central Oregon. Come join us for three stages of racing on some of the same roads as Tandem Nationals in September (see below). The High Desert Omnium is the setting for our tandem stage race again this year. Sponsored by Co-Motion Cycles, the tandems race a Saturday morning criterium, Saturday afernoon TT (9 miles), and a 37 mile road race on Sunday near Mt Bachelor! This is omnium style, so you don't have to race every stage. Points are given for your placing (not your time) in each event and awards are given for the top 3 overall tandems. Cost is $75 per tandem for the whole weekend. 2011 Results.

ROAD: USACYCLING MASTERS NATIONAL ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS, Sept 5-9 - Bend, OR
Wanna race against the best tandem teams in the US? For teams with a combined racing age of 70 or more, the USA Cycling Masters Road Nationals is in Bend, Oregon for 2011 and 2012. Masters Road Nationals brings 5 days of racing that includes a tandem road race and tandem TT with mixed and mens teams from all over the US! In 2011 we had 31 tandem teams take part. 2011 Results.
