ROAD: CHERRY PIE ROAD RACE, Feb 13 - Albany, OR
2010 marks the fourth year in a row that tandems have been invited to Cherry Pie. This beautiful 25 mile course has some rollers and few short, but steep climbs that try to break up the tandem race. The tandems do one lap - and while 25 miles may not sound like a lot, it's early enough in the year that after crossing the uphill finish we've never wished for more. Results here.
TT: JACK FROST TANDEM TT, Feb 21 - Vancouver, WA
This early season TT is 12.4 miles, out and back, on nearly flat countryside. The start is at Vancouver Lake Park (just north of Vancouver, WA) and they have offered a tandem class each year. Results here.

TT: TWILIGHT HILLCLIMB SERIES, Apr 6, 13, 20, 27 - Eugene, OR
Put on by our own, tandem lovin' Sal Collura, the Twilight Hillclimb Series heads up Mcbeth Road and features a tandem category every Tuesday night in April. In May they move to a traditional TT (also with a tandem category - scroll down for May link). 2010 flyer here.
ROAD: ICEBREAKER CRITERIUM, Apr 11 - Eugene, OR
Held in the Greenhill Tech Park in Eugene, the Icebreaker Crit uses the same course as the Co-Motion Tandem Stage Race. Put on by our own, tandem lovin' Sal Collura, the Icebreaker course is the most beginner friendly criterium course I've seen. Four corners, 1K in length, and very wide road with perfect pavement. 2010 Flyer here.
MTB: SEA OTTER CLASSIC, Apr 15-18 - Monterey, CA
Sea Otter has the biggest XC Tandem Mountain Bike Race on the west coast. Held every year during the 4 days of Sea Otter, the XC Tandem course is one lap (about 19 miles) that starts on Laguna Seca Raceway! A great tandem course, it's not super-technical - but is a fast and fun course with somelong, steep climbs. This year saw 10 MTB tandems at the start line. 2010 Results here.
TT: ESTACADA TIME TRIAL SERIES, Apr 18, May 7 - Estacada, OR
Out and back on highway 224 along the Clackamas River. The pavement is in good to excellent condition. Course rises less than 500 feet. Tandems are welcome! Race flyer here.
TT: DESCHUTES RIVER VALLEY TIME TRIALS, Apr 24-25 - Maupin, OR
A TT stage race with three stages of wonderful routes in and around beautiful Maupin, Oregon. Race website here.

TT: TWILIGHT TIME TRIAL SERIES, May 4, 11, 18, 25 - Eugene, OR
Put on by our own, tandem lovin' Sal Collura, the Twilight Time Trial starts and ends near the Coburg Fire Department and features a tandem category every Tuesday night in May. This is the same TT course used by the Co-Motion Tandem Stage Race in 2009. OBRA Schedule/Links.

MTB: CASCADE CHAINBREAKER, May 9 - Bend, OR
The WebCyclery Chainbreaker is the biggest mountain bike race in Central, Oregon. Held on Mothers Day each year, this race is held on private land on some great, west-side trails that are not normally open to the public - and the course is fun! Tandems will do two laps (1 lap = about 11 miles). The race is mainly twisty singletrack with some double track and a few technical sections - some of which are man-made features. Results here.
TT: LEWIS & CLARK ULTRA TIME TRIAL, May 29 - Vancouver, WA
The Lewis & Clark 12/24 is a bicycle time trial race where participants can race continuously for either 12 or 24 hours. The participant who logs the most miles in each time period wins. And yes, they have a tandem class! 2009 Results here.

MTB: PICKETT'S CHARGE, Jun 27 - Bend, OR
This annual mountain bike race is put on by Sunnyside Sports in Bend, Oregon. This year they are holding the race at the new Wanoga trail system up towards Mt Bachelor - this is classic, Central Oregon racing. The tandems get their own class, and this race always brings out a few of the local Bend teams. Come join us! Register here.

ROAD: LIFESOURCE SALEM FAIRVIEW CIRCUIT RACE, Jun 27 - Salem, OR
There were 17 tandems at Salem Fairview in 2009! For 2010 the race moves to a new course that's a 2.1 mile loop featuring seven corners. A great circuit and the perfect race for the fast and strong rider! A safe circuit that is technical enough to keep it interesting, and is a perfect cross between a mini-road race and a criterium. TT: FIRECRACKER TANDEM TIME TRIAL, Jul 3 - Peoria, OR
Held on the flat, fast out-and-back traditional Oregon State TT course that starts at Peoria Park. Distance is 40K. Put on by our own, tandem lovin' Sal Collura. 2010 Flyer here.
ROAD: NW TANDEM RALLY TANDEM CRIT, Jul 4 - Eugene, OR

ROAD: CO-MOTION CLASSIC TANDEM STAGE RACE, Jul 29-Aug 1 - Eugene, OR
The only tandem stage race in the country is put on each year in Eugene, Oregon by the good folks at Co-Motion Cycles. New for 2010 - there is an additional road stage happening on friday for those doing the A race, for the same entry price. Full details here. TRACK: ALPENROSE TANDEM PURSUIT, Aug 21 - Portland, OR
Alpenrose Velodrome offers this one tandem race a year. They will be offering a tandem pursuit when they run the team pursuits. At Alpenrose they do a 3K for the tandems. Only two tandems on the track at a time - one tandem starts at each side and they race for time. If you'd like to try tandem racing on the track you can use your regular road tandem for this event. You simply pick one gear and stay in it for the entire race. You haven't had fun on a tandem until you've ridden one on a track. 2009 Results here.

TT: RING OF FIRE 6/12/24HR TIME TRIAL, Sep 11-12 - Maupin, OR
A 6, 12 or 24 hour time trial with the simple goal being to ride as many miles as possible in 12 or 24 hours. Beginners should try the 6-hour version. And you get to go by your car/cooler/cheering fans every 27 miles. Categories include solo, tandem, and relay teams.

ROAD: RIDE 542 MASS START TANDEM HILLCLIMB, Sep 12 - Mt Baker, WA
The RIDE 542 course is 24.5 miles - headed uphill on the Mt. Baker Highway - one of the most scenic roads in the world. It winds along the Nooksack River, through mossy cedar groves and past glaciers. 4,300+ ft. of climbing mark the course. There lots of rides and races during the 542 weekend. Tandems have a competitive class of their own with a $1000 prize to any tandem that can win and break the 1 hour 25 minute barrier. Register here.
