The downtown Redmond (Oregon) Criterium has added a tandem class this year on July 13th (see below) and registration is open!

I don't have details for 2013 on Tandem Masters Road Nationals just yet other than the dates of Sep 4-8 (see below).

TT: JACK FROST TANDEM TT, Feb 24 - Vancouver, WA
This early season TT is 12.4 miles, out and back, on nearly flat countryside. The start is at Vancouver Lake Park (just north of Vancouver, WA) and they have offered a tandem class each year. 2013 Flyer.

TT: CUCINA FRESCA ICEBREAKER TT, Mar 2 - WA
Tandems get their own start times on this 10 mile TT course on Green Valley Rd near Flaming Geyser State Park. Located between Black Diamond and Auburn, WA, the start/finish is at the corner of Green Valley Rd and 218th. 2013 Flyer.

 

TT: CRANK BICYCLES TT @ PIR, Mar 31 - Portland, OR
Race your tandem on the smooth, flat and winding pavement that is Portland International Raceway. Registration is now open. This is the first of two races in this series (see also May 27). OBRA .

MTB: SEA OTTER CLASSIC TANDEM XC, Apr 21 - Monterey, CA
Sea Otter has the biggest XC Tandem Mountain Bike Race on the west coast. Held every year during the 4 days of Sea Otter (April 18-21, 2013), the XC Tandem race is Sunday morning this year. The course is one lap (about 22 miles) that starts on Laguna Seca Raceway! This is a fast and fun course with some long, steep climbs and plenty of California singletrack. MAY

TT: TWILIGHT TIME TRIAL SERIES, May 7, 14, 21, 28 - Eugene, OR
Put on by our own, tandem lovin' Sal Collura, the Twilight Time Trial starts and ends near the Coburg Fire Department and features a tandem category every Tuesday night in May. This is the same TT course used by the Co-Motion Tandem Stage Race in 2009-10. 2012 Flyer.

 

TT: CRANK BICYCLES TT @ PIR, May 27 - Portland, OR
Race your tandem on the smooth, flat and winding pavement that is Portland International Raceway. This is the second of two races in this series (see also Mar 31). OBRA .

 

JUN

ROAD: OREGON GRAN FONDO, Jun 2 - Cottage Grove, OR
If you're looking for a long road race, this has that option. Start/Finish at Bohemia Park in historic downtown Cottage Grove, just 20 minutes south of Eugene, Oregon. If you like to race, register for the 117-mile Gran route which covers some beautiful roads. In 2012 there were a couple of tandems that raced. In 2013 there'll likely be a few more. 2013 Flyer.

CRIT: REDMOND DOWNTOWN CRITERIUM, Jul 13 - Redmond, OR
In what may be one of the only tandem criteriums in Oregon this year, this course in downtown Redmond promises to be good one. In 2012 racers covered a 6-turn, storefront filled, L-shaped curcuit in the heart of downtown. Put on by the hard working folks at Trinity Bikes, some quality bike racing is happening in Redmond. ROAD: USACYCLING MASTERS NATIONAL ROAD CHAMPIONSHIPS, Sept 4-8 - Bend, OR
Wanna race against the best tandem teams in the US? For teams with a combined racing age of 70 or more, the USA Cycling Masters Road Nationals is in Bend, Oregon. In what looks to be the 3rd year in a row Masters Road Nationals brings 5 days of racing that includes a tandem road race and tandem TT! 2012 Results.
